Accessory Trends for Spring and Summer

I’ll be honest, I have a hard time accessorizing. I love clothes, but then when I want to put a whole look together, I struggle a little bit. Fear not! I’ve rounded up 3 trends for accessorizing that even I can do! All of the businesses mentioned below where you can find these trends are small, local and female-owned businesses. Now that you have all your cute outfits from Worthy Figures, here are 3 accessory trends to add to your looks.

Earrings from Calloway’s Clay

Statement earrings

Earrings have really been the trendsetter when it comes to accessories for a while now. Mostly, a big, bold earring can set off an outfit easily, and it’s just a one-and-done. It doesn’t get much simpler than that. For summer, consider bright colors, beading and the horseshoe shape. Yes, it’s still a thing. My favorite earrings right now are currently from Calloway’s Clay, Lini + Pop and Shani Amara.

Necklaces from Adair and Girl Tribe.

Layered necklaces

Super trending right now is layering multiple dainty necklaces together. Stick with all of the same metal tones for a layered look. Golds are most popular. Have one piece that’s a little heavier, like a locket, initial, etc. that anchors the whole look together. This trend is a little bit more expensive and complicated since you need multiple necklaces to complete the look. But, if you already have some necklaces in your collection, pull them out and play around with layering! My favorites are from Adair, Girl Tribe and Quad Espresso.

Hat from Winnie’s Boutique

Hats

Within the past two years or so, hats have made a major comeback. Throwing on a trendy hat is the easiest way to elevate your look from mediocre to street chic. If you’re wanting to achieve that boho look, adding a hat is the perfect way to do it. Stick with neutral tones that can be worn in any season to get the most wear out of your hat. My favorite places for hats are Boem, Rowan’s Haberdashery, and Winnie’s Boutique.

So there you have it! 3 accessory trends that even I can do, so you’ve got this! Would love to hear how you style these trends. Comment here or share a pic on Instagram and tag me @worthyfigures! Happy styling!
