5 Plus Size Models to Follow

I never knew how much I needed to see plus size, fat, curvy, etc. bodies until I started Worthy Figures. Through my business account, I started following only plus size women on Instagram, and it has truly transformed my view of bodies, including my own.

We are bombarded every day with images of women in our culture that make us feel like we need to be smaller, prettier, taller, etc. It’s a constant message that we’re not good enough. It wasn’t until I started following plus size and body acceptance accounts that I started changing how I felt about myself too. It has normalized bodies for me, and I realize that there are others out there whose bodies look like mine too. And guess what? They’re gorgeous!

If I can see other women’s bodies and know they’re beautiful, then I can do that for myself too. If you’re not sure what accounts to follow to inspire you and help you see other women’s bodies that are more like yours than mainstream media, start here. Here are 5 plus size models I love following, and they truly encourage me.

I first discovered Liris on Project Runway. She was the first plus size model to ever win on the show. She's fierce and unapologetic, so I love following her.
